===== Prozesspriorität =====
In vielen Fällen ist es notwendig eine Anwendung mit einer bestimmten Priorität zu starten. Leider fehlt Windows im Auslieferungszustand ein mächtiges Tool (wie nice/renice unter [[linux:Linux]]), allerdings kann man beide mit [[wpde>Cygwin]] (aus dem "sh-utils"-Paket) nachrüsten.

Dennoch kann man auch mit Bordmitteln die Basispriorität festlegen: <code>start /low PROGRAMM</code>

Die möglichen Stufen sind: low  auch idle, low, belownormal, normal, abovenormal, high und realtime (bei aufsteigender Wichtigkeit). Realtime sollte man sich genau überlegen, hier bekommt das Programm so ziemlich alles was geht. Genauere Instruktionen bekommt man auf der Eingabeaufforderung nach der Eingabe von <code>help start</code>.
